Day 1
Mabamba
After early morning breakfast, we shall drive to Mabamba wetlands where we will be paddled in a canoe through the swamp looking for the mighty Shoebill and other birds like White-winged Warbler, Carruthers’ Cisticola, Papyrus Gonolek, Saddle-billed Stork, African pygmy Goose, Lesser Jacana, Common Squacco, Purple and Goliath Herons, Yellow billed Egret, White-faced Whistling Duck, Yellow-billed Duck, Hottentot Teal, African fish Eagle, Black Crake, African Jacana, Long-toed Plover, Grey-headed Gull, Gull-billed and White-Winged terns, Malakite and pied Kingfishers, Blue-Breasted Bee-eater, Cape Wagtail, Swamp Fly catcher, Winding Cisticola, Red-chested Sunbird, Fan tailed Windowbird African Skimmers, Scaly Francolin, Senegal Plover, Madagascar, bee-Eater, Grey-rumped Swallow, Blue Swallow and Plain-backed Pipit. Later we shall transfer to Soroti. Dinner and over night at Soroti Hotel.
Day 2
Visit L.Bisina
After early morning breakfast, we shall head to L.Bisina in search of the rare fox weaver and other water birds and later we shall head to Kidepo Valley N.Park. Dinner and overnight at National Park bandas/ Apoka Lodge.
Day 3
Whole day Birding in Kidepo Valley N.Park
Kidepo Valley N.Park is a habitat to over 475 species of birds a total second only to Queen Elizabeth N.Park. Amongst the host of dry, eastern “specials” not found in any other Ugandan N.Park are some of East Africa’s rarest and most sought-after birds such as Black-breasted barbet and Karamoja Apalis. Other birds include; Ostrich, African Swallow-tailed Kite, Eastern Pale Chanting Goshwak, Pygmy Falcon, Fox Kestrel, Stone Partridge, Clapperton’s and Heuglin’s Francolins, Yellow-necked Spurfowl, Kori, White-bellied and Hartlaub’s Bustards,Violet-tipped Courser, Black-headed Plover, Four-banded Sandgrouse, Bruce’s Green Pigeon, Rose-ringed Parakeet, White-crested Turaco, White-bellied Go-away-bird, White-faced Scops Owl, Long-tailed and Standard-winged Nightjars, Little Green Bee-eater, Abyssinian and Rofous-crowned Rollers, Abyssinian Scimitarbill, Abyssinian Ground, Eastern Yellow and Jackson’s Hornbills, Red-fronted Barbets, Brown-backed Wood pecker, Singing Bush Lark, Red-winged Lark, Ethiopian Swallow, Pied, Isabelline and Heuglin’s Wheatears, African Grey Flycatcher, Foxy and Red pate Cisticolas, White-bellied Tit, Mouse-coloured Penduline Tit, Nothern White-crowned and yellow-billed Shrikes, Slate-coloured Boubou, Fan-tailed Raven, Superb Starling, Red-billed Oxpecker, Eastern-violet-backed, pygmy and beautiful Sunbirds, Rofous and chestnut Sparrows, Yellow-spotted Petronia, White-headed and White-billed Buffalo-Weavers, White-browed and Chestnut-crowned Sparrow-weavers Grey-capped social and Speckle-fronted Weavers, Green-winged, Orange-winged and red-winged Pytilia, Black-bellied and black-faced Firefinches, Black-faced Waxbill, Steel-blue and Straw-tailed Whydahs, Brown-rumped Bunting. Birding in Kidepo Valley N.park

Day 5
Bird Kidepo N.park
Another whole day birding for the missed species. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 6
Transfer to Mabira Forest
After early morning breakfast, we shall head to Mabira Forest birding en-route. Dinner and over night at Kingston Lodge/Kingfisher Lodge/ Mabira Forest Lodge.
Day 7
Birding in Mabira Forest
After breakfast, birds at Mabira forest and later visit the waterfalls.
There is also a variety of bird life that we shall see. We shall walk along
the trail and look out for birds such as Speckle -breasted woodpeckers,
Black-throated Apalis, African Blue Flycatcher, Dusky Tit, Forest Robin,
Little Olive and other superb sunbirds. The trail continues into an open
area where large, dead trees provide nesting sites for an abundance of
barbets such as Grey-throated, Yellow-spotted, Hairy-breasted,
Double-toothed, Great Blue Turaco and Local African Pied Hornbill are also
found there. Dinner and overnight as above.Day 8
Transfre to L.Mburo N.Park
After early Morning breakfast, we shall head to L.Mburo N.Park birding en-route via Mpanga Forest where we shall serch for Blue-breasted Kingfisher, Weyn’s Weaver, White-spotted Flufftail, Red-capped, Blue- shouldered and Snowy-headed Robin Chats, Lemon Dove, Fire-crested Alethe, Grey Parrot, Black-billed Turaco, Broad-billed Roller, African Pied Hornbill, black, Red-chested and dusky Long-tailed Cuckoos, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Honeyguide Greenbul, Uganda Woodland Warbler, African Shrike Fly-catcher, Chestnut Wattle-eye, Blue-throated Brown Sunbird, Toro Olive Greenbul, Red-tailed Bristlebill, White-chinned Prinia, Sooty Boubou, Red-headed Bluebill, White-throated Bee-eater, Black and White Flycatcher, Grey-headed Negrofinch, Fiery-necked Nightjar. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Rest Camp/ Mantana Tented Camp/Mihingo Lodge.
Day 9
birding and transfer to Akagera N.Park
After early morning breakfast, we will head for a boat trip at L.Mburo in search of the water birds like African Finfoot, Brown-chested Plover, Southern Ground Hornbill, Spoty-Flanked, Red-faced and Black-collared Barbets, White-Winged Warbler, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Carruthers’ Cisticola, Papyrus Gonolek, Yellow-billed Oxpecker and Nothern Brown –throated weaver and many others. Later return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch head to Akagera N.Park in Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Lodge.
Day 10
Birding in Akagera N.Park and transfer to Nyungwe Forest
After an early morning breakfast, we go birding around Akagera N. Park. Later return to the lodge for Lunch. After lunch we drive through hills and valleys to the forest where you will start seeing birds to Gasakura Guest house where you will spend the nights as you bird Nyungwe forest. Dinner and overnight at Gasakura Guest House

Birding in Nyungwe
After breakfast with your packed lunch, proceed for a whole day birding Nyungwe forest. Look out for species like Handsome Francolin, Rwenzori Turaco, Red-chested Owlet, Rwenzori Nightjar, Western Green Tinkerbird, Dwarf Honeyguide, Red-throated Alethe, Archer's Robin-Chat, White-bellied Robin-Chat, Kivu ground thrush, Short-tailed Warbler, Mountain Masked Apalis, Grey-chested Illadopsis, Red-collared Mountain-Babbler, Strip-breasted Tit, Purple-breasted Sunbird, Blue-headed Sunbird, Rwenzori Double-collared Sunbird, Regal Sunbird, Lagden's Bush-shrike among other birds. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 12
Birding in Nyungwe
After early morning breakfast, we shall go birding for the missed species. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 13
Transfer to Mghahinga N.Park in Uganda.
After breakfast, proceed for the drive to Uganda that has to be via Kigali, Ruhenjeri and finally Kisoro town, which is 10kms from the border post. Dinner and over night at Graceland Hotel/ Tourist Hotel/Travellers Hotel
Day 14
Birding in Mgahinga
Whole day Day birding Mgahinga and our highlight species will be, Handsome Francolin, Dusky Turtle Dove, Rwenzori Turaco, Montane( Rwenzori)Nightjar, Alpine Chat, Kivu Ground Thrush, White-tailed Blue Flycatcher, Lagden’s Bush-shrike, Scarlet-tufted Malachite Sunbird, Montane double-collared Sunbird and other many other birds. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 15
Transfer to Ruhija via Echuya Forest reserve.
After early morning breakfast, bird as we proceed to Ruhija through the Echuya
forest. Look for birds such as Archer's Robin-Chat, Kivu Ground Thrush,
Dusky Blue Flycatcher, Mountain Masked Apalis, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, White-napped Raven, Black-crowned Waxbill and many others. Later continue reaching Ruhija in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla friends Camp/Ruhija gorilla Mist Camp/Ruhija Gorilla lodge.Day 16
Birding in Mubwindi Swamp
After early breakfast, we will walk down with packed lunch to Mubwindi swamp looking for specials like Black-billed Turaco, fine-banded woodpecker, African Green-Broadbill, mountain Greenbul, Handsome francolin, Bar-tailed trogon, White-headed Wood hoopoe, Dwarf Honeyguide, Fine-banded, Woodpecker, Scarce Swift, Rwenzori Hill Babbler, Evergreen Forest Warbler, Grauer's Rush Warbler, White-tailed Blue Flycatcher, yellow striped Greenbul, Yellow-eyed, Black flycatcher, Red-faced woodland warbler, mountain yellow warbler, chestnut-throated Apalis, collard Apalis, stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, Doherty's Bush-shrike, montane sooty Boubou, Blue-headed sunbird, Regal sunbird and many more. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 17
Transfer to Bwindi via “the neck”
Depart for Buhoma via the neck birding en-route for species like Tambourine
Dove, Black Bee-Eater, mountain wagtail, Toro Olive-Greenbul,
White-starred-Robin, strange weaver, Dusky Twin spot, and Black Bee-eater among others. We shall do a short village walk around Buhoma area after arrival for Magpie Mannikin in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma community Rest Camp/Engagi Lodge/ Silverback Lodge/ Gorilla Forest CampDay 18
Birding in Bwindi
After breakfast, bird along the main trail for species like Red-throated Alethe, Archer’s Robin-chat, Kivu Ground Thrush, Montane Masked Apalis, Collared Apalis, Gruaer’s Warbler, Short-tailed Warbler, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Rwenzori Batis and Strange Weaver, Western Bronze-naped Pegion, Dusky and Olive Long-tailed Cuckoos, Fraser’s Eagle-owl, Montane( Rwenzori)Nightjar, Bar-tailed Trogon, Black bee-eater, Willcock’s honeyguide, Fine-banded and Elliot’s Woodpeckers, Grey-chested and Mountain Illadopses, White-bellied Robin-Chat, Forest Ground Thrush, Black-faced Rufous Warbler, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Many-coloured Bush-Shrike, Brown-capped Weaver, White-collared Olive-back, Red-fronted Antpecker and Oriole-Finch and many more. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 19
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.Park via Ishasha.
Early morning transfer to QUENP via Ishasha and we shall have our lunch on
the way. At Ishasha, we shall see a variety of games including climbing
Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, and other games. Having reached Mweya in the
evening, we shall bird around the hotel on arrival in the evening for
species like Blue Quail, African Crake, Ross's Turaco, Jackson's Pipit,
Red-headed Lovebird, White-winged Black Tit, Cassin's Flycatcher, Black
Bee-eater, African white-backed vultures, Eagles, Shining Blue Kingfisher,
cinnamon-chested Bee-Eater and Blue-breasted Kingfisher have our Dinner and over night at Mweya Hostel/ Mweya Safari Lodge.Day 20
Boat trip and transfer back to Entebbe.
After early morning breakfast, you will head for a boat launch at Kazinga Channel and later transfer with packed lunch back to Entebbe Airport for your evening flight.
